Italy with authorization the Italian Republic is a unitary parliamentary state in south-central Europe. To the north it limits France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia by the side of the Alps. To the south it consists of the whole of the Italian Peninsula, Sicily, Sardinia–the two prevalent islands in the Mediterranean Sea–and a lot of other greater islands. The self-sufficient states of San Marino and the Vatican City are enclaves within Italy, whilst Campion is an Italian exclave in Switzerland. The country is prejudiced by a moderate cyclic type of weather. It is the fifth most crowded country in Europe, and the 23rd most crowded in the world. From antique awaiting the 16th century, Italy was at the center of Western civilization, pivot or source of the Etruscan nation, Ancient Rome, the Roman Catholic Church, Humanism and the Renaissance.
