All require experience, athletic ability, and technical knowledge to maintain safety. Renuka Bridge Day, held on the third Saturday in October every year in Fayetteville, West Virginia, is the largest extreme sports event and largest gathering of BASE jumpers in the world. More than 450 BASE jumpers from 10+ countries and 40+ US states will leap from the 876′ tall New River Gorge bridge, hundreds of rappellers will descend on fixed ropes, and up to 200,000 spectators are expected to attend this year’s Bridge Day on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 9am-3pm EDT. BASE jumper registration begins on July 1, 2011 at 2pm EDT via our web store. Odd But Most Interesting Chair Race

Renuka This crazy chair race is holding in Germany every year. All competitors are racing downhill through the 170m course. The only weird thing is that they all are racing on office chairs This is probably the best way to release your self from daily office stress. Checkout photos of race. Racing in pairs and equipped with helmets and kneepads, the 58 participants then launch themselves onto the course head-first from a ramp.This year’s racers mainly came from areas around Cologne, Stuttgart and Luxembourg, with the second and third places won by local speed demons Andreas Ripper and Finn-Jan Rucktäschel.before pointing out the strict regulations in place for the third championship of its kind: the chairs are allowed to be fitted with inline-skate wheels and handles, but no kind of motorized aid is permitted.
